GOVERNMENT OF ANDHRA PRADESH ABSTRACT APPSC – Direct Recruitment - Group-II Services – Revision of Scheme of Examination - Introducing Screening Test – Main examination through online – Revised – Orders – Issued.

2. From the Prl. Secretary, APPSC, D.O. Letter No. 350/SS/2016, Dt:30.05.2016.

 Order:-

1.  In the Government Order 1st read above, orders were issued revising scheme and syllabus of the examination for making direct recruitment to the posts under Group-I (A), Group-I (B), Group-II services, Gazetted and NonGazetted categories as detailed in Annexure I to Annexure VI to the said order. 
2.  The Prl. Secretary, APPSC in his D.O. Letter dt:30.05.2016 has informed that, the A.P. Public Service Commission has decided to introduce Screening Test in addition to the existing 3 papers so as to minimize large number of candidates for Group-II Services examination. The Commission also proposed to conduct the main examination through online. 
3.  Government, after careful examination of the entire matter have accepted the proposal of introducing Screening Test in addition to the existing 3 papers in Group-II Services and also for conducting the main examination through online for Group-II Services. 
4.  Government, accordingly, in partial modification of orders issued in G.O. 1st read above, revise the scheme of the examination and syllabus for screening test for Group-II Services as detailed in Annexure-I and Annexure-II to this order. The Principal Secretary, APPSC shall implement the same in recruitments which are to be notified in future.

SCREENING TEST SYLLABUS FOR GROUP-II SERVICES

a) Current Affairs – Issues of National and International importance in politics, Economics, Society, Science, Technology, Arts, Sports, Culture and Governance.

b) Constitution of India with emphasis on Federalism, Fundamental Rights, Fundamental duties, Union and State Governments, Judiciary, Judicial Review, Local Government, Directive Principles of State Policy, Union and State Legislature, Administration and Legislative relations between Union and State Governments, Scheduled and Tribal Area Administration.

c) Economic  Development  of  India  –  Economy  in  Medieval  India,  pre Independence Indian economy, Development Plans and Economic and Industrial Policies of Independent India. Liberalizations, Privatization, Globalization, Labour Policies of Union and State Governments, role of Agriculture and Green Revolution in India. Economic disparities between regions and population categories.
