All the District Educational Officers
in the State are informed that under the aegis of National foundation for
Teacher Welfare, Teachers’ Day will be celebrated on 5th September
2016 as was done in the previous years. The following instructions are issued
in connection with the celebration of Teachers’ Day on 5th
September. 2016.
All the District Educational
Officers are therefore requested to constitute District Teachers Day
Celebration Committee in each District with the District Collector as Chairman
and Chief Executive Officers of Zilla Parishads/Principals of Local
Colleges/Representatives of Teachers Organizations and prominent local citizens
who are interested in the cause of Education and the Welfare of the Members of
Teaching profession as members from the following Organizations also:-

Local bodies such
as Municipalities, Zilla Parishads and peoples representatives etc.,
|
2.
|
Chambers of
Commerce and Industry
|
3.
|
Rotary Clubs.
|
4.
|
Lion Clubs
|
5.
|
Journalists
Association
|
6.
|
Teacher
Federation.
|
7.
|
. Important
public persons.
|
They are further requested to organize
the Teachers Day Function on
5th September, 2016 with the co-operation of the Committees
in their Districts and the function may include the following activities.
1.PUBLICATION
THROUGH DESCRIPTIVE POSTERS AND CINEMA SLIDES ETC
2.
ORGANIZATION OF FELICITATION FUNCTION
The Different service organizations,
like Lion Clubs, Rotary Clubs, Mahila Sabha and Educational Institutions may be
requested to organize special functions to honour the outstanding teachers and
also organize talks, symposiums, debates, seminars etc., to bring –out the key
role of the teachers as the builders of the coming generation. If any also be considered to bring together
some selected teachers (specially form Rural Areas) on 05/09/2016 to discuss
different aspects of Education and also the role of the teachers to meet the
new demands of Education and Society.
3.
ORGANISATION OF CULTURAL AND VARIETY ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAMME:-
The cultural Organizations as well
as the dramatic groups, clubs in the Educational Institutions and other
Organizations etc., may be requested to put special entertainment programmes
two days before the teachers Day (i.e. 5-09-2016). The gate receipts realized if any, may be
sent to the District Educational Officer who will send them to this office
through a crossed demand draft in favour of Secretary-Treasurer, National
Foundation for Teachers Welfare, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad payable at
Hyderabad. Such receipts may be
granted exemption from the payment of entertainment tax.
4.
BENEFIT CINEMA SHOWS:-
All the local Cinema Owners/
Exhibitors in the District may be requested to DONATE the earning of ONE SHOW
on the 5th September, 2016 to the National Foundation for Teachers Welfare and to send
the amount to the District Educational Officer who will send it to this office through Demand Draft in favour of
Secretary-Treasure, National Foundation for Teachers Welfare, A.P., Hyderabad
payable at Hyderabad. Such shows may be
exempted from the payment of Entertainment Tax.
5.
INVOLVING THE INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENT/
INDUSTRIALISTS TO CONTRIBUTE/DONATE
The industrial
Establishments/Industrialists may be involved to contribute/donate generously
to the corpus of the foundation.
6. EXHIBITION OF
SPECIAL FILMS ON TEACHERS:-
Arrangements may be made through
cinema Houses, Educational and Social Welfare Organizations to show selected
films on teachers.
7. ORGANISATION OF
SPORTS MEETS:-
Programme
like Athletic Meets friendly cricket matches, football matches etc., may be
organized to raise funds for the Foundation.
In these matches, Ministers, public representatives, VIPs, teachers and
students may be involved.
8.
SPECIAL DONATIONS FROM PROMINENT AND WELL-TO-DO CITIZENS:-
The collections may be undertaken
under the supervision and the guidance of responsible persons taking all the
precautionary measures necessary to prevent mis-appropriation of
collections. They may also ask for the co-operation
of NSS/NCC.NSC Units and other Voluntary Organizations in collection of
donations.
The District Educational Officers in
the State are requested to receive all the donations in the District and send
them to the Secretary-Treasurer, National Foundation for Teachers’ Welfare
& Commissioner & Director of School Education, A.P., Hyderabad through Demand
Draft drawn in favour of SECRETARY–TREASURER, NATIONAL FOUNDATION FOR TEACHERS’
WELFARE : : A.P : : HYDERABAD payable at Hyderabad and also requested
to send a de tailed report about the
Teachers Day Celebration on
5th September, 2016 by 20-09-2016.
