India” – nation-wide campaign of “Rashtriya Ekta Saptah” from
October 31 – November 6, 2016 –

The
attention of all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and the
District Educational Officers in the State is invited to the reference read
above (Copy enclosed) wherein it is informed that the Ministry of Human Resource Development
Department, Govt.of India has decided
to hold a nation-wide campaign on 31th October, 2016, the birth anniversary of
Sardar Vallabhai Patel, and subsequently for a week upto 6th
November, 2016, to honour the memory his decisive efforts in unifying a diverse
country like India, so as to create a single political, socio-economic and
administrative entity for governance under Independent India.
In
this connection, all the RJDSEs/ DEOs are informed that the following
activities/events are to be conducted in Schools from October 31 – November 6,
2016 to be built around the theme of unification, strengthening and bonding of
the nation, that can be carried in memory of the great ‘Unifier’ that was
Sardar Patel, by Schools in the Country:
I.
Unity
Runs – in concerned city or town with the massage of a unified Bharat.
II.
Inter-School
elocution and easy competitions in the area of unity.
III.
Drams,
Songs and Plays on the theme of unity and personality of Sardar Patel with an
award for most creative theme.
IV.
Plays
by children on the life of Sardar Patel depicting specific events – award for
student who portrays Patel’s character the best.
V.
Essay
writing and elocution on the theme – “Relevance & Importance of Sardar Patel in today’s India.”
VI.
Most
creative slogan/painting contest on the Unity theme.
VII.
Competition
for writing/composing/singing original songs on the unity them.
VIII.
Lectures
and Competition between school teachers of a school on Sardar Petal’s life.
IX.
Mobilisation
and felicitation of former freedom fighters in the region by students –
recording of their stories/recollections of Sardar Petal and view for benefit
and motivation of children.
Further
they are instructed to obtain
photographs of activities undertaken on 31st October and beyond on
whatsapp and email to Govt.of India in order to display to Honourable Minister
for HRD Government of India immediately after. The E-mail id operational for
the campaign is sardarpatelanniv2016@gmail.com.
Also copy the email of photographs and reports of activities conducted in this
regard toa.isectionap@gmail.com.
Therefore,
all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and the District
Educational Officers in the State are requested to issue necessary instructions
to all the Dy.Eos / HMs / MEOs under their jurisdiction to conduct the above
activities in schools from October 31 – November 6, 2016 for effective
implementation of Nation Salutes Sardar Vallabhai Patel, the Unifier of India”
– Nation-wide campaign of “Rashtriya Ekta Saptah”
