Read the following:-
O R D E R:-
In the reference 1st read above, the Government have issued certain instructions for conducting celebrations of 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr.B.R.Ambedkar for a period of one year from 14.04.2016 in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
2. In the reference 2nd cited, the Director of Social Welfare, A.P., Vijayawada has submitted proposals for conducting Competitions and Essay Writings etc., in Schools as one of the programme in the 27 Point Programme, announced by the Government as a part of conducting of yearlong celebrations of 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr.B.R.Ambedkar. He is also submitted action plan to conduct Competitions and Essay Writings etc., in Schools obtained from the Commissioner of School Education.
3. The Government after careful examination of the proposal hereby decided to conduct the Competitions and Essay Writings etc., in the School, as per the following Action Plan:
• Competitions in Elocution, Essay Writing, Quiz and Painting will be conducted from 20th December, 2016 to 5th January, 2017.
• Competitions in Elocution, Essay Writing, Quiz and Painting will be conducted to School Children upto 10th Class level at Mandal/ District and State level.
• At School level certificates will be distributed as prizes to the winners.
• At Mandal Level Certificates and Books (Literature on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar) will be distributed as prizes to the Winners.
• At District Level Certificates and Mementoes will be distributed as prizes to the Winners.
• At State Level Certificates, Mementoes and Cash Prize will be distributed as prizes to the Winners.
• The State Level Competitions will be conducted at Vijayawada.
• Distribution of Prizes for the Winners in the Essay Writing and other Competitions and Winners in Sportsmeet will be done in District Event of Dr B.R.Ambedkar Celebrations to be held in the February and March 2017.
4. The Commissioner of School Education and the Director of Social Welfare, A.P., Vijayawada shall take necessary action accordingly and issue necessary instructions to the concerned officials to take up the above programs in a be-fighting manner.
5. The Director of Social Welfare, A.P., Vijayawada, is also be permitted to release an amount of Rs.51,55,160/- (Rupees Fifty one lakh fifty five thousand one hundred and sixty only) to the Commissioner of School Education, A.P., Vijayawada from the funds of Social Welfare Department, available (under 500-503 – other charges) with APTS Limited, Vijayawada for conducting of Competitions i.e., Elocution, Essay Writing, Quiz and painting, at School Level/Mandal Level/ District Level and State Level as per the said action plan. He is also requested to engage event manager whenever feasible.
